Founded 25 years ago as the first company within our organization, SYMATESE LAB represents an active leader in the medtech due to our know-how in 2 technological platforms: collagens and hyaluronic acid. We invest 10% to 15% of our sales each year, enabling us to imagine, design and produce the most advanced technological solutions thanks to our expert teams in many fields.

Our expertise in the science of skin is at the service of aesthetic medicine for therapeutic uses but also for medical solutions especially for dermal regeneration of the burn patients.

Moreover, in partnership with L’ORÉAL, we have developed in vitro skin models to replace animal testing of cosmetics, and are developing innovative biopolymer-based solutions for the luxury goods industry. This partnership with L’ORÉAL has been strengthened with a development agreement in late 2021 in the field of tissue regeneration.

SYMATESE LAB now employs over 100 people and interacts with other SYMATESE entities to bring the best technological solutions to the market. It is in charge of the production of everything that is developed through its production site in Chaponost and its future production site in Vourles, both near Lyon.
